About
Hope Hub is a food rescue organisation with a Christian kaupapa. Hope hub rescues and distributes surplus food to where it is needed most in our local Taitoko/Levin community.
We run a 'freestore' every Wednesday where over 120 families come and shop. We also have 'pop up' shops during the week where we distribute unopened let over lunches from the schools.
Hope Hub aim to serve our community, accepting people where they are at with no criteria or judgement to receive food.
We also aim to lessen the environmental footprint by encouraging food distributors to give us their 'surplus' food that is still perfectly edible, aiming for a 'zero waste' society.
