Name: John Barnett, MFINZ (CFRE, 2010-2016)
City: Wellington
Email: john@monthlygiving.co.nz

"I’ve raised funds for charities for 12 years: emergency services, conservation, medical, international development, college and university, social services, children, refugees and faith-based. If you’re looking for a mentor, you’re likely within the first 3 years of your career. You’ve stuck it out, found it fun and are keen to learn. Other fundraisers have been (and still are) informal mentors to me, so I’m happy to help you for 4 sessions.

I can help best if it’s in these areas, the ones I’ve found to be the most lucrative and sustaining for the organisations I’ve worked for: Individual giving; mail and phone appeals; growing regular givers through face-to-face, direct mail campaigns; generating gifts in Wills; and working with call centres and face-to-face agency suppliers."

John has over 10 years of fundraising experience. He is eager to share his knowledge and experience on Direct Marketing, Appeals, and Bequests / Planned Giving.
