Your fundraising Power Tool: Managing budgets and analytics to build and strengthen your fundraising programme
Your budget is a powerful tool. It's not just a set of numbers someone came up with and you compare how you are doing against these numbers every month or two. Your budget can help to guide strategy and gives you incredible insight as to the health of your fundraising programme, well beyond the top line number comparisons.
In this Learning Lunch we will:
- Delve into the elements that go into setting an accurate fundraising budget,
- Take a look at what analytics you should be using,
- See what rules of thumb you can follow to set and monitor the budget, and
- Understand whether you are spending too much, or too little on your fundraising programme.
Whether you are a senior fundraising Director or Manager setting a large recurring giving budget for a big charity, or you are a solo fundraiser in a smaller charity, this is the learning opportunity for you. Whether you are the big boss, or one of the hard working staff, knowing about budgets and how to use them to understand the health of the work that you do is an essential part of your fundraising skills.
Rebecca will bring her experience of setting and managing budgets both large and small to this talk.
