Volunteers Needed

Help us bring the tennis to life!
 

We need friendly & enthusiastic people to fill the following roles; so register HERE and be part of the 2020 ASB Classic action!!

Accreditation:  Are you a computer wizz with strong customer service skills? Help us accredit our ASB Classic army to keep our site safe and secure.

Ballkid Leader:  Organisation, patience, communication and a positive attitude are a must to lead our Ballkid crew. This role is supported by a team of co-leaders and applicants must be at least 25 years or older.

Court Services:  Teamwork makes the dream work! Ensure all of the tennis courts are match ready for the pros. Some heavy lifting and a fast paced environment can be expected. 
 
Concierge: Service with a smile! Greet our corporate guests upon arrival and assist them to their suites so they feel the love from the moment they walk through our gates.

Drivers: Professionalism is key. Always offering top notch kiwi hospitality to tournament guests from around the world while getting them where they need to go safely and on time.

NEW Eco-Warriors: We’ve all been there—which bin does my rubbish go in? Help patrons conquer the bin by assisting with rubbish and recycling bin choices. Make your volunteer impact reach far beyond the ASB Classic!

Runners: Like a bit of variety? Join the Runners—restocking supplies, helping patrons around the grounds and on the job learning are just a few of the things that will keep you buzzing on site with us!

Practice Desk: Strong computer skills and friendly customer service are a must. Help players book their practice courts as well as a table at one of our many tasty Auckland dining spots!

Spectator Services: Are you a people person who is always willing to lend a hand and loves tennis! Check tickets, assist patrons to their seats and ensure they have a good time while they enjoy a day out with us. 

 

Want to be a Ball Kid at the 2020 ASB Classic? 

We're looking for young tennis fans to join in the fun for the 2020 ASB Classic. 

To be a Ballkid, you need to:

  • Be an affiliated Tennis Auckland or Tennis Northern Club Member
  • Be aged from 11-13 years 
  • Fulfill all training requirements (see below)

Training Sessions

It is part of the criteria for selection that all new applicants applying for consideration to be Ballkids attend all three training sessions in Term Four and previous Ballkids attend at least two training sessions.  

Training will be from 4:30 – 6pm at Scarbro Tennis Centre, 69 Merton Road on the following dates:

Training 1: Tuesday, 22nd October 2019, 4:30 - 6pm 
Training 2: Wednesday, 30th October 2019, 4:30 - 6pm 
Training 3: Tuesday, 5th November 2019, 4:30 - 7pm *

*Training 3 is a required session for all Ballkids. Parent meeting to begin at 6pm.
