We need a talented and influential person with a passion for building a vibrant, prosperous and attractive city to lead fundraising for our partnership projects.

This is a fixed-term role (parental leave cover), to help Hamilton City Council develop exciting initiatives for the city through partnerships and sponsorships.  Projects include the continued development of Hamilton Gardens, a shared entry precinct for Hamilton Zoo and Waiwhakareke Natural Heritage Park and creating unique play spaces across our City.

We are looking for someone who can establish relationships with the community, funding and business sectors to successfully implement funding and partnership strategies resulting in great outcomes for the city and its community.

Using effective tools for storytelling and engaging, your ability to influence and communicate will ensure our stakeholders understand the journey we are on and as a result they will want to participate and support projects that help create a vibrant, prosperous and attractive city.

You will have experience in successfully raising funds for large projects through a variety of sources including donations, sponsorship and philanthropic funding. You will have extensive understanding of the fundraising environment and you will have excellent skills be skilled in writing, and assisting others to write,  successful funding applications and sponsorship proposals.

This is a full-time position for a fixed period of up to nine months. We are open to discussions regarding part-time and/or flexible hours and the nature of the working relationship.
