As Individual Giving and Direct Mail Advisor you will join our highly driven fundraising and communications team helping Wellington Free Ambulance raise more than $7 million per year - so we can keep the free in Wellington Free Ambulance.

Welcoming experienced fundraising professionals and those wanting the move into the next stage of their fundraising career to this great opportunity. 

Reporting directly to the General Manager, Fundraising and Communications, you will be our next Individual Giving, Direct Mail Superstar with a strong understanding of how integral maintaining the database is to this role.  In addition, you will:

  • Be integral to the Fundraising and Communications team and bursting with ideas to grow and develop our Individual Giving program and Direct Mail program.
  • Ensure donor opportunities are identified and acted upon by managing queries, building and strengthening relationships and proactive engagement with our donors.
  • Monitoring and evaluating results of fundraising activities to shape/influence future appeals.
  • Maintaining our fundraising database, including regular reporting and data integrity management. 

 

Who we are looking for

You will have a passion for fundraising, storytelling and be innovative in your approach and have great problem-solving skills. In addition, you will possess:

  • Track record working in a similar fundraising role, in a healthcare environment would be desirable
  • Experience in developing and implementing Individual Giving and Direct Mail fundraising programmes
  • Highly organised with exceptional time management skills, ability to work to tight time frames and an aptitude for planning
  • Proven internal and external customer relations experience, able to build genuine rapport with donors and stakeholders and a diverse range of people
  • Proactive and self-motivated, able to self-manage as well as support a highly driven team of professionals
  • Have excellent written, verbal and oral communication skills
  • Competent in MS office suite including Excel

 

This is a permanent full-time position, based in Thorndon, Wellington. We are offering a competitive salary and flexible working arrangements for the right candidate.
