  • Blind Low Vision NZ are excited to be trialing a four day working, with a view to embedding this permanently should the trial be successful.
  • The 4DWW utilises the 100:80:100 rule: staff participating will receive 100% of their compensation and benefits while working 80% of their contracted hours, in return for producing 100% of their current productivity targets.
  • Salary range is $105k - $125k depending on experience. 

 

Job Summary  Blind Low Vision NZ currently raise c.$25m p.a., with the ambition to grow sustainably to $30m p.a. within the next 5 years. 

The Fundraising Operations Manager position is a senior leadership role within Blind Low Vision NZ, it is a strategic, people, and process role, focused on ensuring our donors and potential donors receive the best possible customer care experience.  The role is responsible for leading the Supporter Care, Income Processing, Data Management and Research functions of the Fundraising Department.

About the Role:

Reporting to the GM Fundraising, this is your opportunity to be responsible for developing, implementing, and leading on the day-to-day delivery of all aspects of our fundraising administration; including our supporter care, data management, income processing, research, and intelligence functions. This is to ensure that we provide an excellent supporter experience, and that our Fundraising and Philanthropy teams have the insights and knowledge they need to reach our ambitious fundraising goals

The Fundraising Operations Manager will lead a team of 6 experienced fundraising administration professionals to achieve annual objectives, performance KPIs, and financial targets.

 

Skills & Experience:

We are looking for a highly capable senior leader, with experience of successfully leading at least one of the key areas of Supporter Care, CRM Data Management or Income Processing within a fundraising function. You will:

  • Be passionate and knowledgeable about customer service/supporter care, with previous experience of managing inbound/outbound queries via a range of channels, including handling complaints
  • Have experience of managing income and financial processing procedures, including payment processing and reconciliation of Automatic Payments and online payment gateways for Eftpos and Credit Card payments.
  • Understanding of process improvement principles, along with experience of implementing new systems and processes to improve customer service/supporter care provision
  • Experience of using supporter/customer databases to drive supporter value and income generating activities
  •  Experience of using data analysis and insight to support the development of targeted products and supporter engagement for fundraising.
  •  Highly numerate, with strong analytical skills and an ability to gain insight from a variety of data sources
  • A strong degree of computer literacy and a strong technical appreciation of phone, web and databases together with a good understanding of how systems can support efficient and effective processes are essential.
  • Experience of leading internal projects with multiple stakeholders.
  • Experienced leader who gets the best out of people through an enabling approach and style.
  • Minimum 7 years successful and demonstrable fundraising or fundraising support experience.
