The role: 

Your role is to lead the Fundraising Events Team to deliver our successful flagship event, Oxfam Trailwalker in March 2023. 

Working with an awesome team, you’ll be project managing the overall event, ensuring the delivery of a successful and safe weekend while raising vital funds to support Oxfam’s mission. On a day to day basis, you might: 

  • Work with the Marketing & Fundraising Executive to ensure our participants are supported in their training and fundraising journey. 
  • Support the Fundraising Events Assistant to deliver exceptional participant care and fundraising support. 
  • Liaise with Trailwalker’s external delivery partner to ensure they are meeting targets and are on track with all planning. 
  • Build excitement for what will be an awesome event weekend that smashes targets.

Our ideal candidate will enjoy working with a great team to deliver great things, and you’ll inherit a fully-developed project plan already in place! We’re looking for someone who: 

  • Has exceptional project management skills 
  • Is pragmatic, results and solutions focused 
  • Is able to work under pressure and to deadlines 
  • 1+ years’ experience of leading, managing and developing staff &/or volunteers 
  • Ideally has 3+ years of fundraising experience, ideally events or peer-to-peer focused
