Fundraiser - Crescendo Trust of Aotearoa - Auckland

  • Salary range $35-$40 p/hour
  • Applications close on 14 August 2022
  • Part-time role (20 hours p/week)

The Crescendo Trust of Aotearoa (Crescendo) is a growing social enterprise working to empower the youth of Aotearoa.  We are a small but passionate team, dedicated to creating real change in our community.  Our mentors are a group of musos that use their industry experience to pass on skills to rangatahi which they use to expand their wellbeing, find their voice and empower their future.

Crescendo has been operating since 2012 and has worked with thousands of young people throughout Aotearoa.  Our point of difference in the youth services sector is our mentors are paid industry professionals; this leads to a greater transition rate of our young people directly into employment and further education pathways.  Crescendo has a strong kaupapa, industry expertise and a solutions-focused culture that delivers quality programmes, products and social impact.

Crescendo’s Fundraiser will be key to ensuring that we have funding to continue making an impact.  You will be a wordsmith, able to craft and adapt messages to engage different audiences.  One key to success in the role is your ability to convey the importance of our mahi, our mentoring programme, to creative positive futures for our rangatahi.  As well as strong written skills, you will have the ability to engage and build relationships with our external stakeholders (funders, donors, etc).

Key Performance Indicators/Measures:

  • Regular communications with key funders, donors and partners
  • Deliver to strategic funding, grant and donation plan, align strategic goals and outcomes
  • Coordinate Grant Tracking Worksheet, sharing expected outcomes with the team to ensure delivery is met
  • Apply for gaps in funding
  • Effective use of team communication tools
  • Support other fundraising initiatives when necessary

This is a part-time role (20 hours p/week) with flexibility of days and hours.  You will be required to manage your own time to deliver on the role’s requirements. You will work independently with a small, passionate and supportive team.   Our whare is located in Avondale, with easy access to public transport including train bus and unlimited free parking.  Ideally this role works from our Avondale office, however there is flexibility to work from home. If working from home, we expect at least 1 day/month on site in the Avondale studio to work with the team and contribute to the team culture.

Bring your passion for young people, music, community, and your fundraising skills to work for a growing profit-for-purpose, youth incubation hub.  If you want to help us on our mission to empower rangatahi as they navigate their waka, apply today!
