Age Concern Nelson Tasman (ACNT) is a thriving and highly respected charity, delivering a wide range of services enabling older adults in the region to feel connected, with positive choices and being able to age well.
The Donor Engagement and Marketing Advisor is a newly created position and will play a critical role in diversifying ACNT’s income revenue through the development and execution of strategies that engage, retain and grow their donor base.
Responsibilities include identifying and developing opportunities for funding and partnerships, creating and leading compelling fundraising and marketing campaigns, uplifting the ACNT brand, sourcing and applying for grants as well as developing partnerships with potential sponsors. You’ll have multiple opportunities to utilise your communications skills and experience to deliver high quality targeted material for a variety of channels and audiences.
This is a greenfields role, which will give you the opportunity to stamp your mark, establish ACNT’s fundraising function and make a genuine difference in the lives of older people in the Nelson Tasman region. The team is collaborative and supportive, and a great group of people that enjoys spending time together and having a laugh.
This is a permanent part time position for 30 hours per week and ACNT is flexible as to how these hours are worked across the week. You’ll initially be based in the Richmond office, but once the role is established, there’s flexibility for you to be based in the Nelson office. There are also opportunities to work from home.
Person profil
- A big picture thinker with the ability to identify and capitalise upon new opportunities
- Proven experience in executing marketing, communications and fundraising plans across all forms of media for a range of audiences
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a passion for creating compelling campaigns and personalised donor experiences
- Exceptional relationship management capabilities and a proven track record of building and maintaining effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
- Strong organisational and project management skills
- Excellent supporter stewardship and customer service skills
- Strong IT skills, with a working knowledge of digital channels and databases
