Director of Advancement
Auckland Grammar School is a large and diverse school, and we are currently seeking an experienced motivated Director of Advancement. The Development Team environment is both professional and friendly.
The Director of Advancement leads the Development Team at Auckland Grammar School. This position overseas all major fundraising including the bequest programme, annual appeals, and the academic endowment fund.
Key Responsibilities
- To provide leadership to the Development Team.
- To set and implement strategic direction of the development office.
- Provide oversight and leadership for all advancement programmes and events.
- Lead Annual Appeal
- Taking responsibility for engagement with school donors.
- Oversee gifting and bequests to the school.
- To be an active member of the Board’s Development Committee.
- To maintain positive working relationships with the Grammar Community, Old Boys, Parents, Leadership team, teachers, and students.
We are looking for a person with the following attributes
- Successful leadership experience in the specialist areas of development and advancement.
- Previous experience in fundraising and have successfully meet targets.
Proven ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and members of the community.
- High energy professional, with a track record of building donor relationships and closing gifts.
- Proven ability to be involved in, and build, a community.
- Skilled at creating and fostering positive networks.
- Proven demonstration of enacting and role modelling.
We are looking for a person who will engage positively with our wider school community, to ensure the School’s vision (pre-eminence in boys’ secondary education) remains the core focus in all we do.
Position details:
Full time permanent position.
40 hours per week.
Remuneration range $115,000 - $130,000 per annum.
