About the role  

A newly created role in our amazing Fundraising team - Community Partnership Fundraiser - will nurture and grow community fundraising initiatives across Hato Hone St John's northern southern region. As our part of our wider fundraising team, the Community Partnership Fundraiser will also liaise with our Area Committees, regional support staff and local businesses and organisations for ongoing engagement and collaboration in fundraising activities, which includes St John's Annual Appeal.  

This role will aim to win and maintain new prospects, business contacts and sustainable income streams. And will focus on mutually beneficial relationships amongst key stakeholder groups including representing St John at appropriate meetings, events, and presentations across the region. 

In addition, you will build a wide range of community relationships using positive influence and creativity.  This includes actively contributing to the planning and the development of new and existing initiatives supporting fundraising goals/objectives.


 To be successful you will: 

  • Be an experienced fundraiser ideally in Community Fundraising. 
  • Have proven experience in developing long term business and organisation partnerships 
  • Have proven experience of in planning and implementing strategies 
  • Have effective communication, negotiation and relationship building and management skills with experience of this in a geographically spread environment. 
  • Be familiar in organising community events, activations, and appeals.  
  • Be experienced in developing project proposals and collateral materials to support the strategy is an advantage 
  • Have the ability to show sound leadership and motivate others and work in a team
