Skills 1 2 3
Skills 1,2,3
Skills 1,2,3 is a training programme organised by The Fundraising Institute of Australia (FIA) and has been designed to meet the career development needs of fundraisers and those in the not-for-profit sector.
Developed further in New Zealand to contain local content, the programme has been broken into three courses:
Skills 1 - The Foundations of Fundraising
This is a 16 hour course that introduces concepts and strategies which you can put into practice immediately while learning the art of Relationship Fundraising and Fundraising Marketing and Communication.
Skills 2 - Building on the Foundations of Fundraising
Also a 16 hour course, Skills 2 builds on Skills 1 and guides participants through the fundraising planning areas of Mission & Case Statements, Marketing & Communications Plans and Donor Profiles. It also offers practical advice for the organisation of promotional material, special events and research.
Skills 3 - Professional Fundraising Management
This advanced-level course is conducted over four full days and explores the practical and creative side to the theory. Skills 3 looks at professional business writing, issues in fundraising and corporate sector management and the development of major fundraising campaigns and programmes.
The programme provides an opportunity to learn from experienced fundraising specialists and put that knowledge to work in hands-on workshops. You will also have the opportunity to make valuable contacts with colleagues from within the fundraising profession.
From the novice to the seasoned fundraiser, this course has something for everyone. Watch this space for upcoming dates.
