An outstanding role for a fundraising professional within a major organisation who are regarded as the leaders in their field
 
One of the most exciting aspects of this role is that you will be expanding the fundraising capability for one of our most successful and highly respected national organisations who over the years have delivered a range of services that have probably touched in some way the lives of every New Zealander.

This role is responsible for growing and expanding the already highly successful donor development programmes that the organisation has, as well as creating and initiating a range of new programmes.

Therefore you will lead national programme and campaign development as well as being coach and mentor to their fundraising team.

You will also be responsible for the development of new acquisition programmes, for the enhancement and development of loyalty programmes, for the development of high value recognition programmes for major donors as well as for growing the bequest and legacy programmes within the organisation.

This will require significant previous experience and expertise in managing fundraising activities within a major national organisation as well as proven success in using databases to identify high value market segments.

You must also have had previous experience in developing and managing promotional/marketing campaigns as well as an outstanding track record of being able to build strong networks and relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.

We are looking for a fundraising leader to be a key part of a dynamic national fundraising team in a role where you will help make a difference in the lives of thousands of New Zealanders.

We're looking for someone with creative flair and strong attention to detail. Someone who is able to multi-task in a busy direct marketing & marketing comms environment; and who is hungry for their next career challenge.
 
Supporting the Fundraising Campaign Manager for CHILDFUND NEW ZEALAND, this role offers full exposure to DM campaigns and channel marketing and will allow you to develop as quickly as you are able to.   Based at their Auckland Head Office, you will enjoy working with key suppliers and being involved in planning and decision making. 
 
Along with a relevant degree/qualifications and ideally not less than two years’ services marketing experience, you'll already have worked on direct marketing campaigns and will have sound theoretical understanding of CRM and DM tactics. 
 
You will need to be personable, adaptable and professional, and be able to relate well to others within a tight knit team.  It goes without saying that you have strong communication skills and a good level of computer literacy.
 
While not essential, previous experience in the Not for Profit sector would be of interest. Some exposure to campaign analysis and agency / supplier relationships would be useful.

The Communications and Development Unit (http://www.comsdev.canterbury.ac.nz/) require an Alumni & Development Coordinator – Programmes & Services to plan and implement programmes, projects and services which strategically engage alumni.  The Alumni & Development Coordinator will work closely with other alumni, Communications and Development colleagues, as well as appropriate unit directors to strengthen existing programmes, develop new initiatives and provide tangible benefits to alumni which will align with the portfolios and University’s strategic priorities and goals.

The successful candidate will need to be well organised, be able to effectively manage client expectations and transact business in a professional, tactful and diplomatic manner. In addition, the successful candidate will need a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications or Marketing and minimum of 4 years experience in management, programme development and implementation within a complex organisational setting.  A strong ability to strategise, implement and build constituency programmes and activities, and a demonstrated ability to work successfully within multiple constituencies, both internal and external are a must.

Alumni & Development Coordinator - Annual Giving

The Communications and Development Unit (http://www.comsdev.canterbury.ac.nz/) require an Alumni & Development Coordinator – Annual Giving to be responsible for the management of the Annual Fund, which aims to significantly raise financial resources for the University.
The role of Alumni and Development Coordinator (Annual Giving) is responsible for planning and conducting the Annual Fund which will comprise a number of segmented campaigns and will work closely with stakeholders across campus, including PVCs and Deans, to coordinate appeals throughout the year to maximise philanthropic support, minimise overlap in fundraising communications, and to promote donor understanding of the University’s broad case for support. The incumbent will be viewed on campus as the focal point in providing the expertise required for all direct mail marketing campaigns.
The successful candidate will need to be well organised, be able to effectively manage client expectations and transact business in a professional, tactful and diplomatic manner. In addition, the successful candidate will need a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications or Marketing and a CFRE Professional Accreditation. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 4 years experience in effectively managing direct mail campaigns including the creation and production of high quality copy and marketing materials.  Experience in managing large complex projects and attention to detail is a must.

Funding Development and Marketing Manager

Hospice South Auckland aims to ensure that their patients and families have access to the best possible care at the end of their lives.

This newly created position of Funding Development and Marketing Manager requires a professional fundraiser with at least 5 years experience to plan, develop and implement strategies to fund hospice services.  The ideal candidate will also have solid marketing, communications and PR skills.

While experience of all aspects of the fundraising mix is required for this role, the emphasis of the job will be on:
•    developing an integrated donor acquisition programme including direct mail, major donors and bequests
•    developing a communications strategy for the Hospice
•    identifying 2-3 signature events in line with fundraising and communications strategies

As part of the Senior Management Team, you will have responsibility for setting fundraising budgets, meeting targets and managing the fundraising team.  You will also lead the implementation of a new fundraising database system therefore knowledge of sector-specific relational databases will be an advantage.

Heart Children NZ is the only charity dedicated to supporting the 12 babies born every week with a congenital heart defect in New Zealand. Our new mission is to provide life long support to all those affected by the world’s most common birth defect. We provide over fifty different services and are growing rapidly so we need another fundraiser in the team.


We are looking for an enthusiastic, bright and eloquent communicator to focus on the rewarding field of major gifts. This specialised area will concentrate on securing gifts of over $5,000 from trusts & foundations, bequests and individuals.
