We’re looking for an experienced fundraiser to take up the exciting challenge of taking Northland Community Foundation to the next stage in its development.

Based in Whangarei, and reporting to the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, you will be responsible for managing the fundraising relationship between the Foundation and Northland District Health Board, raising funds to benefit the health of Northlanders.

The position will require exceptional leadership, management and relationship building skills.  You will be confident, creative, enthusiastic, and have a proven record of developing and delivering a varied and successful fundraising and communications strategy. You will also be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Foundation and for developing, implementing and leading the fundraising strategy for the Foundation’s Endowment fund.
 
There is also the opportunity to contribute to the strategic direction of the Foundation and to play a significant role in the wider Northland community.

Fundraising Manager

The University of Waikato seeks a Fundraising Manager to assist the new Director of Development to develop and implement a fundraising and prospecting plan for the Development Office.
The position offers an exciting combination of major gifts/bequests work, prospect research and communications with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.

The successful candidate will manage an assigned portfolio of prospective donors and develop and manage a donor engagement programme.They will also collaborate with University Schools and Scholarship Office to develop and facilitate an integrated fundraising effort.

Previous successful relationship management that has led to success in sales or fundraising roles is essential along with experience in preparing proposals and briefing papers. The ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and establish priorities in a team base environment are also required.  Knowledge of Raisers Edge would be an advantage.
Salary will be in the range of NZ$49,409-$62,257 per year, depending on qualifications, skills and experience.
