Developing Leadership for Major Gifts

The eight-step process for major gift development is at the heart of this course, and you will have ample opportunity to apply what you learn. Information on organisation climate and culture, institutional readiness to seek and manage major gifts, and planning for a major gifts programme are also covered. Most significantly, you will learn how to work with volunteers and board members, who will provide leadership for major gifts.

For Fundraisers, Development Managers, CEOs and Board Members, this course will teach you creative ways to handle common problems, refine your management skills and reinvigorate your enthusiasm.

An understanding of the skills and techniques taught in Principles & Techniques of Fundraising 101 is assumed.

201 is offered by FINZ, in conjunction with AUT University every second year and places are strictly limited.  Having been run from 12-14 November 2007 in Wellington it is unlikely to be offered again until 2009.
