Wayne says one of the most challenging aspects of being a fundraiser is managing the huge breadth of responsibilities and tasks involved, as well as finding the right staff with proven track records. Fundraising is a job that he finds hugely satisfying allowing him to work with good causes and great people.

Wayne has always been a committed member of FINZ serving as Council Secretary from 1990 to 1992. He worked on the design and production of the FINZ magazine throughout the 1990s and was on the conference committees in 1996, 1998 and 2008. Wayne has also been instrumental in bringing valuable professional training to New Zealand.

FINZ membership has allowed Wayne to enjoy opportunities to increase his fundraising knowledge.  He says he’s benefited from networking opportunities and has developed lasting friendships with world class fundraising professionals.

Being a FINZ member has contributed a great deal to Wayne’s career, from professional training opportunities, to being recognized for achievements through FINZ Fundraising Excellence Awards.
