Stephanie Maitland

Stephanie was made a fellow in 2008 and has held a number of roles within FINZ. Stephanie is a FINZ mentor.  At a national level Stephanie was President of FINZ from 2000-02 and also a member of the National Council in 1996-97. She was on the planning committee for the 1996, 1998 and 2008 FINZ conferences.

Stephanie began fundraising “by accident” when she went to work for a small charitable organisation in an administration/PR role and found that everyone had to muck in together.  From this her fundraising career was born. Currently working as a consultant, Stephanie has a wealth of experience having worked for IHC, South Auckland Hospice, Red Cross and Ambury Park riding for the disabled, among others.

Stephanie says that FINZ has been invaluable to her career by providing training and networking opportunities.  She relishes meeting people from all walks of life and nationalities and fundraising is a great way to do that. Making a difference in people’s lives provides a lot of satisfaction for Stephanie.
